Trams are an efficient and popular mode of transport in Adelaide, especially in the CBD. The entire city centre is a free tram zone, meaning no ticket is required for travel within this area. For destinations outside the free zone, like the University of South Australia's Mawson Lakes campus, ensure you tap on with your MetroCard to avoid penalties.
Key tram stops near the University of South Australia include the City West campus stop. Trams such as the Glenelg to Royal Adelaide Hospital route are particularly useful for attendees.
MetroCard
A MetroCard is your gateway to public transport in Adelaide, providing access to trams, buses, and trains. You can purchase and recharge these cards at most convenience stores, like OTR or Kmart, as well as MetroCard vending machines located in major transport hubs.
