There is a direct bus, which departs from Stop 13 Henley Beach Road - North side and arrives at Stop 1 North Terrace - North side. The services depart every 20 minutes, and operates every day. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes and costs around $4.

A taxi will cost approximately $30 and take around 10 minutes. There are taxi stands conveniently located at the airport exit.

There is also the Adelaide Airport bus services. Out the front of Adelaide Airport there is bus stop 10 at the front of the terminal, which will take you to the city.

Absolutely. CAMS2024 will be held at the University of SA, which is centrally located. From the University of SA, delegates can easily access the CBD with all its restaurants, bars, cafes and shops, as well as other areas like Barossa Valley and Kangaroo Island. There are several places to exchange money at Adelaide Airport, as well as throughout the Adelaide CBD.

Adelaide, often referred to as the 'City of Churches,' also enjoys a Mediterranean climate, which means warm and dry summers with mild, wet winters. When the conference will be held in December, attendees will be experiencing the early summer season in Adelaide.

In December, the average temperature in Adelaide is 20ºC, falling to 14ºC at night. Average monthly rainfall is about 30mm, with six days on rain on average.

The conference will cover a variety of themes across a range of areas of materials engineering, science and technology. The themes will be dedicated to exploring the latest advances in their respective disciplines, covering areas such as light metals, innovative building materials, nanostructure materials and interfaces and much more.

We are currently working on the program, and expect to announce the speakers in mid 2024.

CAMS is the Combined Advanced Materials Society, which has also incorporated Materials Australia and the Australian Ceramic Society who will serve as conference hosts for the 2024 conference. All of these societies are dedicated to the advancement of materials in the science, engineering and technology sectors.
